Income Eligibility for CDBG Programs and Projects

There are several CDBG income eligibility guidelines laying out who may be served by CDBG funding. Basically CDBG must primarily serve persons with household income that is no more than 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI), also known as the Median Family Income (MFI). Beaverton uses the HUD provided Portland Metro Areas AMI, which changes annually in March or thereabouts. Following is a table that outlines incomes by percentage caps of 30%, 50%, 60%, and 80%.  These caps are important as different programs are available under various caps.
