Introduction


The City of Beaverton will not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of their disabilities and strives to eliminate barriers that may prevent individuals with disabilities from accessing the city’s services, programs or activities.

Requesting Reasonable Accommodations


To request an accommodation, alternate formats of communication, or modification of policies and procedures to access and benefit from a City program, service, or activity, please complete the city’s ADA form and send it to the city no less than 3 business days before the program, service, or activity, but preferably within 7 days of the program, service, or activity.

If you need assistance in completing the form, you may request assistance from the ADA coordinator or have another person complete the form on your behalf.

Filing an ADA Complaint


If you believe you have been discriminated by the city as an individual with a disability, you may file an ADA complaint with the city within 60 days of the alleged violation. Please send, fax, or email a completed complaint form to the following:

Appealing an ADA Decision


If you are not satisfied with the ADA Coordinator’s decision, you may appeal the decision to the HR Director within 15 days after receiving the ADA Coordinator’s decision. The HR Director shall issue a decision on the appeal within 30 days of receiving the appeal.
