For last fiscal year 2014-2015, the total countywide property tax rate ranged from $18.55 to $21.06. The City of Beaverton’s portion was $4.38 per $1,000 of a property’s assessed value.

Estimated Taxes for Fiscal Year 2015-16
Beaverton's tax rate for FY 2015-16 is expected to remain the same rate as this past year $4.38. This rate, when applied to Beaverton's total taxable assessed valuation of $8,939,930,000, will produce revenues of $39,131,273. Your $4.24 tax rate is comprised of two components:
$0.20 for debt service on the library building
$4.18 for general government operations (police, library, and street lighting)
General government operations tax levy is subject to Measure 50. Provisions of Measure 50 established a maximum permanent tax rate. The City's maximum permanent tax rate is $4.62. Our citizens approved this new property tax base in November 1996. The new tax base will fund public safety needs in proportion to the City’s population growth.
