The City of Beaverton Solid Waste & Recycling program regulates six franchised haulers and sets rates for the collection of garbage, recycling, and yard debris from all residential and commercial customers within city limits.

Beginning October 30, it will become a Composting Cart and you can “Include the Food” (fruits, vegetables, bread, dairy, meat, bones) with your yard debris. There is no need to make any changes to your service subscription; just start including the food October 30, please do not add food before then.

If you currently have a yard debris cart you will receive a small pail that can be used in your kitchen to collect your food scraps and then emptied into your large composting cart. Look for your pail and more details in October.
